Plain-English data handling
Here is the short version. We store the answers you type into the eligibility screener and the guided application (your name, date of birth, last four digits of your SSN, contact and address details, medical conditions, work history, doctors, and medications), any documents you upload, your account email, and a record of which plan you purchased. We do not store full card numbers — payments are handled by our payment processor. We are a self-help tool: we never file, submit, or transmit anything to the Social Security Administration on your behalf, and we are not your attorney or representative. You print or download your completed forms and take them to SSA yourself. You can delete your account at any time by emailing the contact address on our site or using the delete option in your dashboard; when you do, we remove your application data, screener answers, and uploaded documents from our systems, and any backup copies age out on a rolling basis. This service is not a healthcare provider or health plan, so it is not covered by HIPAA — we protect your information with encryption and strict per-account access rules, but we do not describe the app as HIPAA-compliant.
Information we collect
Account details (email, name), eligibility screener answers, the information you enter into the guided application (personal, medical, work, doctor, and medication details), and any documents you choose to upload.
How we use your information
Only to provide the service: to save your draft, show your readiness checklist, store your documents, and send you notifications you have asked for. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your medical information for advertising.
How your data is stored
Your data is held in an encrypted database with row-level access rules so that only your logged-in account can read your records. Uploaded documents live in a private storage bucket and are served through short-lived signed links to you alone.
Sharing
We share data only with the infrastructure providers required to run the app (hosting, database, storage, and email delivery) and only as needed to deliver the service, or when required by law. We do not submit anything to the Social Security Administration on your behalf.
Your choices
You can edit or delete your application data and uploaded documents at any time from your dashboard. You may request full account deletion, and we will remove your records from our systems.
Children
This service is intended for adults. If a claim involves a minor, an adult parent or guardian must manage the account.
