How to use Disability Command Center
Five steps from “I think I might qualify” to a printed, signed, ready-to-file packet. Work at your own pace — everything saves as you go.
1. Run the eligibility screener
Answer a short set of questions about your work history, income, and condition. You'll get a plain-English read on whether SSDI, SSI, or a child SSI claim fits your situation. It's free and you don't need an account to start — your answers save to your account when you sign in.
3. Work through the application wizard
The wizard walks you through personal info, medical conditions, work history, doctors, and medications. Every blank has a help icon explaining what SSA is really asking for, and narrative answers get a strength meter that warns you when an answer is likely too thin.
4. Upload documents and print your forms
Upload medical records, work records, and ID into secure categorized storage. When the readiness checklist is green, generate pre-filled official SSA forms (SSA-16, SSA-8000, SSA-3368, SSA-3369, SSA-827, SSA-3820 for child claims) plus a reference appendix, then print and sign them.
